Why is ISO 9001:2008 Important?

ISO is important to customers and prospective customers because they know that our quality systems are sound and have been audited by an independent third party. This independent third party audit can save customers' money when screening prospective suppliers. Proof of ISO registration can take the place of lengthy qualification forms in Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals. ISO is important to our employees because all of our quality processes are thoroughly researched and documented. Our ISO efforts tells employees that they are working for a company that is serious about quality and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement

Our quality system includes formal reports of Corrective or Preventive action, including searching for root causes of problems. Internal Audits

ISO requires us to do internal audits. All of our Internal Auditors complete audit training and observe a "live audit" before they can perform an actual audit. As a result, our Internal Auditors look beyond perfect paperwork and compliance with the ISO standards and look at the overall effectiveness of the process that they are auditing.

What is the "Quality Policy"?

The Management of Thermometrics is committed to comply with local, state, federal and statutory and regulatory requirements and the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9003:2001 and continually improve the effectiveness of the quality management system within the organization. Through the implementation of the QMS, quality objectives are established and reviewed on a yearly basis for continued suitability. Working as a team, the quality policy is communicated and understood within the organization. The involvement of employees in the continual quality improvement process ensures that the company’s goals for quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction are met.

Thermometrics Corporation’s target for quality is to enhance customer satisfaction by providing products and services which conform to the relevant specifications and meeting the agreed upon technical requirements of our customers.

Under observance of the aforementioned, customer satisfaction is the company’s main priority: we want to be our customers’ preferred supplier.
